Floatplane Take-Off

undefined

A Dehavilland amphibious piston floatplane owned by Ward Air circles near the Coast Mountains above Juneau shortly after take-off. This single engine beaver floatplane is the workhorse for commuter flights to many of the surrounding communities which don’t have airstrips. The amphibious floatplane can land and take-off on either floats or wheels.

Hugh Wade - You’re in the air. You’re in the water. You’re in the mud. You’re in the mountains. How does one man with two feet and a camera become omni-present?

A Reynolds - Another fine photo Laurent, but I am pretty sure that is a Cessna 206, not a DH Beaver.
